Here is a selection of the roughly 100 images from the two and a half day meet in Jacksonville this weekend.
I knew going to the meet that I wasn’t going to have the freedom to shoot a lot of swimming action shots, so I left my telephoto lenses at home and brought a manual focus wide-angle lens (right) and a 50mm standard lens (left)Madison drove me east—first to Gainesville to pick up my Smart Car, then we drove separately to JaxBut I enjoyed the shared drive… ;-PShot with my iPhone out of the window of the Smart Car somewhere between Gainesville and Jax—I thought it looked like a UFO!The competition venue Friday night, prior to anyone disturbing the water

All things considered, I was quite pleased with the way my shots turned out; I thought I did a good job “storytelling,” and I thought I did a good job coaching as well. And that’s the important thing. As long as I’m doing my job, kids and parents are happy, AND the photos are good…well, life’s pretty good then!
